Liam Jasperse-Sjolander is a wildlife biologist who has been studying elephant social behavior for the past seven years. He holds a BSc in Wildlife Biology from McGill University, and a MSc in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado \u2013 Boulder. He is a current PhD student at the University of Colorado, where his dissertation focuses on comparing forest and savannah elephant habitat use and social structure. At Save the Elephants, Liam serves as Principal Investigator of the Elephant Collective Behavior Project in Samburu National Reserve, where he is using drones and AI models to examine elephant social behavior, foraging, and population health. He has worked studing wildlife in several countries, including Gabon, Rwanda, Kenya, Canada, and the United States and is commited to advancing the study of wildlife behavior using novel technologies.<\/p>\n
